Generating Writers
If you are coming up dry as a writer, there is something new you should try out. It is a WordPress plugin that kind of works as spin software. If you input any sequence of words, it will generate several lists of alternative or synonymous interpretations of the sequence. Most might turn out to be nonsense, but it is a great experiment and a good jump-start to any writer’s block. Sometimes, all you need is a little bit of imagination, and nonsense will certainly generate that in any writer.
In fact, if you are patient enough or have the time to do this, you can try generating an article out of the plugin and submit it to an article writing site. You might want to edit and correct the article first, but the plugin can spew out nonsense, and maybe all it needs is the human touch. In fact, if what is generated can stand on its own, maybe you can do a Turing test on an essay writing site and find out how effective the plugin is.
Any effort to try out a natural language processing algorithm is an experience for any writer – not that writers might soon be out of a job, but how a machine can sometimes make more sense. In any case, if you want to try out the plugin, there are many free writing sites to try it out with – and maybe you will realize that all you need is a little editing practice to get you back to doing what you love – writing.
